1. Acceptance
By downloading and using Diet With AI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What the app does
Diet With AI helps you log meals and track calorie and nutrition intake. The app uses AI vision (provided by OpenAI) to estimate the nutritional content of photographed meals. Estimates are generated automatically and may be inaccurate.
3. No medical or dietary advice
The nutritional estimates and calorie targets provided by the app are for informational and personal tracking purposes only. They are not medical advice, dietary recommendations, or a substitute for consultation with a qualified health professional. Do not make health or medical decisions based solely on information provided by this app.
AI-generated nutrition estimates may be incorrect. Always verify important nutritional information from authoritative sources if accuracy matters for your health.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the app only for your own personal, non-commercial meal tracking. You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the app's source code
- Use automated means to interact with the backend service in a way that disrupts normal operation
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law
5. Third-party services
The AI nutrition estimation feature uses OpenAI's API. Your use of this feature is also subject to OpenAI's Usage Policies. We are not responsible for OpenAI's service availability or the accuracy of its outputs.
6. No warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that nutrition estimates will be accurate.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or its nutrition estimates. This includes but is not limited to damages resulting from reliance on inaccurate nutritional information.
8. Service availability
The app and its backend service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. The AI nutrition estimation feature requires an internet connection and may be unavailable at times due to network issues or backend maintenance.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
